The PHP Health Matters program is a joint effort between the Chamber and PHP to offer a discount of up to five percent on employee health insurance for Chamber members, resulting in significant savings that in most cases far exceed the annual cost of Chamber membership.

The Chamber’s partnership with PHP to bring Chamber members the Health Matters program began in 2001 and now has over 300+ area businesses participating. In order to offer this program to even more Chamber members, Health Matters has been expanded from a maximum of 26 total employees to a maximum of 50 employees who are eligible for health insurance coverage. Average annual savings for Chamber members who have taken advantage of the Health Matters program is over $2,500, with some companies saving as much as $10,000 a year.

Interested business owners need simply join the Fort Wayne Chamber, if not already a member, and contact PHP or a local insurance broker to choose the right insurance plan. The Health Matters discount applies to any one of PHP’s hundreds of benefit plans. Companies who have never purchased insurance from PHP as well as current PHP clients that are up for renewal are eligible for the Health Matters discount. In addition, the discount is good year after year, not just at the time of initial sale.
